OBX Marathon & Half Marathon Course Info

Marathoners will start by heading south from Kitty Hawk running along the beautiful sound side of Kitty Hawk and on through Kill Devil Hills, passing around the historic Wright Brothers Memorial. Continuing South, the course will lead runners through the Old Nags Head Woods Nature Conservancy, coming out near the North side of the YMCA and picking up the Start of the Half Marathon. The course then continues South passing by local scenic gem, Jockey’s Ridge, and the sound side of Nags Head. Continuing along US-64, the most challenging part of our course: crossing the Washington Baum Bridge toward Pirate’s Cove on Roanoke Island. The last leg of the race takes you along US-64 and into the heart of quaint downtown Manteo, crossing the finish line against the serene backdrop of Shallowbag Bay along the gorgeous Manteo Waterfront.
