Race Schedule

Friday: 1 p.m.-7 p.m.
Packet pick-up at the Visitors Center at Jockey’s Ridge State in Nags Head NC.  No race day pick up. 
300 W. Carolista Dr, Nags Head, NC

Saturday:
Race will begin at 7 a.m..  Parking will be available at the park.  

Course Information

There will be a hydration station at the 1.5-mile point.  There will be bananas, GU, Gatorade and water available.  At the start/finish we will have bananas, GU, Stroop waffles, Gatorade, water, and various foods for runners to load up on.  

Porta Potties will be available at the start/finish and at various areas of the park.  

EMS will be on standby, and the State Park officials will have gators available to pick up runners if necessary.

Race Information

The clock will start, and runners will have 55 minutes to finish the 5k.  Once back in runners will wait until the 55 minutes is up before we restart the clock for the next 5k.  

If a runner does not make it back in 55 minutes, they will be DQ.  Teams will work the same with time limits.  If you are on a team one member must run 2 5k’s the other 3 5k’s no exceptions.  Teams can be co-ed.  

Awards and After Party

Awards will begin around 12:20, which is after the last race.  We will do awards, food and beverages on the back deck of the Visitors Center.  

Inclement Weather

Rain or shine we will run the race.  In case of lightning or severe harsh winds we will delay for 30 minutes, if it occurs during the race we will pull runners of the course.  If possible to finish, we will.  If race must be cancelled there are NO REFUNDS.
