2025 Son of a Beach Virtual Race Series to Benefit Victims of Hurricane Helene
Join us for this VIRTUAL race series in support of the Western North Carolina communities devastated by Hurricane Helene. Choose to complete either a HALF MARATHON or FULL MARATHON by July, or an Olympic or Sprint TRIATHLON by August! From the time you register for your preferred race you will have one month to complete it and submit your results.
Due to the historic rainfall and landslides associated with Hurricane Helene, several prominent rivers in Western North Carolina overflowed and stranded numerous communities. Entire houses were washed away and extensive infrastructure was destroyed, resulting in widespread loss of power, transportation and communications for months. To date, the region has suffered 105 fatalities and counting, making the October 2024 storm the deadliest natural disaster in North Carolina's history.
Please Note: Participants must be 18 years or older.
